Physics

Werner Heisenberg won the 1932 Nobel Prize in physics “for the creation of quantum mechanics, the application of which has, inter alia, led to the discovery of the allotropic forms of hydrogen.” Heisenberg advanced Bohr’s theory of the atom and quantum mechanics. He introduced a new mathematical approach using matrices to solve for physical quantities. He also proposed the uncertainty principal, which states that one cannot know precisely the location and velocity of a particle.
